2nd Term Awards Ceremony (2023-24 SESSION)

Preston International School Akure firmly believes in the Aristotle's mantra that excellence is not an act but a habit. It's on this premise that the school organised the second term 2023/2024 academic session award ceremony. The event celebrated students who demonstrated excellence in behaviour, academics, skills, talents, leadership and creativity.

The event was well attended by the proprietress, Mrs Funmi Ajayi, Parents, staff and students of Preston International School, Akure.
The most notable moments of the event started with the presentation of Behavioural Awards to deserving students in both Junior and Senior classes. The feats achieved by students in this category were at various levels, including Iron Merit, Silver Merit, Bronze Merit Gold Merit, Diamond Merit, Platinum Merit, etc.
This was followed by the presentation of awards in recognition of students outstanding achievements in academics. Both Junior and Senior students received GPA awards at different levels and in various subjects. Best in subject awards were also honoured with certificate of outstanding achievements
The last set of awards recognised students skills, talents leadership and creativity. GBE Emmanuel and ASEBIOMO Tofunmi were honoured for being the winners of AISIEN 2024 spoken words competition. Also, OBIYOMI Oluwaseyifunmi was celebrated for emerging as the overall second best Mathematician in Olympiad Competition. NISSMUN award certificates were equally presented to students and staff who represented the school at Abuja. Special awards were also presented to the neatest classes in both Junior and Senior school. At the same time, best class display awards were presented to deserving classes. Lastly, The stars of the term (students earning the most house points for their houses) were recognised and decorated before the proprietress presented the best house award to TERRA House as the best house in second term 2023/2024 academic session.
Congratulations to all the students who have received one award or the other and we wish to encourage all Prestonians to keep doing their best in every area of their lives because consistency is the key to winning in life.
