Preston International School Students Shine at Aisen Mathematics Competition 2022
We are thankful to God for the privilege to interface again with students from other schools as we come out of Covid-19 restrictions. Eight Prestonians were in Lagos to participate in this year’s AISEN (Association of International School Educators of Nigeria) Mathematics Competition at Bridge House College, Ikoyi, Lagos on Saturday 15th October.
At the first round, our SS2 students - who competed against final year students from other schools, came in 3rd out of 15 schools ahead of Greensprings, Lead-forte, City of Knowledge Academy, Corona, Julliard, Vivian Fowler, Avi-Cenna, Kayron, Almond and Edgewood. Our SS3s are currently writing the Cambridge IGCSE Oct/Nov exams and so, could not participate. However, we went through to the 2nd and 3rd rounds reaching the semi-finals. Finally, the overall winner was Greensprings. In the junior category, we came 5th. We are so proud of our students.
Altogether, it was a lovely experience for Prestonians. Thanks to accompanying teachers, Mr Aletile and Ms Onayo and Mr Akin who drove us to and fro.
