Nigeria @ 58

The 58th anniversary of Nigeria’s independence was marked by Preston International School with the theme “A Quest for Good Governance”. 58 years on and the quest still continues but hopeful for a better and brighter tomorrow.

Prestonians came out in their different attires to depict the colors of the Nigerian flag, demonstrating their heart-felt joy as their great nation turned 58. The programme was spiced up with different inter-house competitions, quiz competition titled “I know My Country” independence Day party -  where  different houses displayed various Nigerian cultures with the Mr. & Mrs. Preston pageantry, drama, songs and dance presentations to show our rich heritage.

Congratulations to Terra House on the success of the pageantry and Tornado House who emerged as the winner for the speech competition. As we mark this year’s Independence day, let us honour the past and inspire the future.
