World Book Day 2018
“One book, one pen, one child, and one teacher can change the world” – Malala Yousafzai. On the 1st of March 2018, Preston International School joins in the global celebration of WORLD BOOK DAY.
Questions about famous Nigerian authors and their works were posed to Prestonians. Certain passages and phrases unique to those authors were read out for students to identify the authors and the books they came from. Pictorial scenes from books were also displayed for the contestants to identify whose and which material contained such. Staff members too, had to give their own answers including members of the senior management team. At the end, literary works were given out as gifts to the key participants to engender and encourage the reading culture which is fast being eroded in our current world.
It was indeed an enlightening and enjoyable session.
