TEACHING POSITIONS

Teacher of  Year 2 (Primary 2)

Role Description

This is a full-time role for a Year 2 Teacher at Preston International School, located in Akure, Ondo State, Nigeria. Daily tasks include managing repair and upkeep of school buildings, supervising maintenance staff, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, planning and executing maintenance schedules, and coordinating with external contractors. The Maintenance Officer will be responsible for the upkeep, repair, and maintenance of school facilities, ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for students and staff. Daily tasks include inspecting buildings, performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and coordinating with external contractors under the leadership of the Head of Maintenance for specialised repairs.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of general maintenance procedures and systems
  • Proficiency in performing repairs, troubleshooting, and equipment inspection

Gardeners

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Gardener located in Akure. The Gardener will be responsible for maintaining the school's gardens and grounds, including planting, watering, weeding, pruning, and mowing. The Gardener will ensure the outdoor areas are kept tidy and presentable. Additional duties include applying fertilizers, pesticides, and managing waste disposal related to gardening activities.

Qualifications

  • Experience in gardening, plant care, and landscaping

Other duties include preparing reports, managing office supplies, and liaising with staff, students, and parents to facilitate communication within the school.
