2019 World Food Day

As part of the programmes listed for the international schools’ award, Preston international school marked the premier edition of the World Food Day celebrations with the theme “Living a Healthy Life for a Zero Hunger World” on the 16th of October, 2019. It was jam-packed with activities like Food posters, videos, slideshow presentations to clearly enlighten the audience on the differences and effects between junks and food. Speeches were made by the dining prefects on zero hunger, food wastage, 3Rs (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) and reasons for healthy living.

The event peaked at the Intercontinental food display that included dishes such as a Côte d'Ivoire cuisine called Attiéké – a side dish made from cassava, French fries salad and barbeque fish, boiled yam and garden egg sauce mostly eaten in African Countries.
