

























Dupe Fasawe (Vice
President): My name is Modupeoluwa Fasawe. Actually, I read about the
mission of the school and I knew that it will come to pass and I knew this
school was of high standard and I chose it. I hope to be a good ambassador of
Preston International School when I come out and I will show people where they
can get the best leadership training and morals. I was appointed as the Vice
President of Preston International School. At first, I could not believe
it, and then I knew that it was God. My mission is to make sure the school’s
rules and regulations are carried out. I will also help prefects/learners when
needed and assist the President in carrying out his duties.
Dolor Odjegba
(Dining Hall Prefect): My name is Dolor Odjegba. I came to Preston
International School because when I saw the prospectus and read about the
school - the mission and vision, where it was located, the plans and other
things – I knew Preston was the right school for me. What I hope to get out of
Preston is good behaviour, education and leadership training. I was appointed
the food prefect of Preston International School. The work has been
challenging because I have to be fair, observant and responsible. My hope is
to be good in anything I do.
Toyin Ikuomola
(Chapel Prefect): My name is Oluwatoyin Omolajipe Ikuomola. I am a
Christian and the Chapel Prefect of Preston International School. When I heard
about Preston and its mission and vision, I believed they had an exciting
dream, which I always dreamed to be part of and I had the opportunity which I
did not want to miss. When I get out of Preston International School, I hope
to achieve a lot. I hope to be the best student Preston has produced. I hope
to be an outstanding leader and I want to be able to help Preston
International School even when I get out of the school. Being a prefect as
some think, does not mean you have to be punishing or demanding respect from
others. You have to take responsibility as a prefect. As the chapel prefect of
Preston International School, I will contribute my best quota to promoting the
spiritual development of all Prestonians in accordance with the school’s rules
and regulations and God’s will.
Olufela Joda (Vice
President): My name is Olufela Joda. I came to Preston International
School because I believe the school would impact positive ethos and ideas in
me. As a prefect, I always try to ensure fair play and make sure all rules in
the school are properly followed. I have always been attracted to technology
especially the design aspect and I hope Preston would be able to lead me to
that dream. My mission is to ensure the carrying out of all the rules and
regulations in our great school and to assist and advise the President in
making sure that Preston reaches its intended goal.
David Lawani (Terra House Captain - Boys): My name is David
Lawani I was motivated when I came here because I looked at the teaching and the
morals that I did not see in other schools so I decided to come to the school.
As a prefect first of all you are a leader and a leader has to be well rounded,
respectful and well educated. You should have good morals and you must lead by
example. My mission is to oversee the general orderliness of my house and create
a lively and peaceful atmosphere in order that every member of the house will be
proud of it.
Tseyi Okorodudu
(Library Prefect): My name is Oritsetseyigbemi Okorodudu. The vision and
the mission of the school and the morals I wish to gain from the school
actually made me come to the school. I hope to get the best education, best
leadership training and good morals/behaviour when I get out of the school. On
July 28th, I was appointed the Library Prefect of the school. As a prefect,
you have to be fair and be able to take responsibilities. My future hope is to
be the best in whatever occupation I do and to have the best leadership
training in life. My mission is to make sure that the library is a conducive
place for reading. I will make sure the books are properly kept and learners
behave well by working with school librarian.
Abiola Ademola (Aqua
House Captain - Boys): My name is Abiola Ademola. The thing that
motivated me to come to the school was the mission and the vision. I so much
love the mission that says to create fine, well rounded, well cultured
respectable ladies and gentlemen. I hope to be one of the best students and
prefects of Preston International School. I see my work as a prefect quite
hard but interesting and I pray to be a prefect till I leave the school and I
pray to God to give me the strength to take my responsibilities. I also like
to include that I like Preston International School because the teachers and
staff are nice.
Jane Idabor (Aqua
House Captain - Girls): My name is Jane Chika Idabor. I came to
Preston because the first day I saw the prospectus I knew that Preston will be
a good school and I believe that Preston will be the greatest school in the
whole wide world. Being a prefect has a lot of privileges such as leadership
and respect which I like even as a pioneer prefect. I hope to become a medical
doctor in future so that I will be able to treat sick people and help the
disabled in my country. I also want to prevent the horrible disease called
HIV/AIDS and I know that Preston International School will help me achieve my
dream. My mission is to make sure that Aqua house is quiet, neat and excels in
all competitions and activities.
Tolu Iyanda (Sports
Prefect): My name is Toluwani Iyanda. I came to Preston International
School because of the Christian Ethos and good policies of the school. At
first when I came to the school, I did not like it because it was not
completed but I realized it is not by the looks but by what is in it. As a
prefect, my mission is to ensure a good sportsmanship and a peaceful school
environment for both the students and the members of staff.
Ola Fapohunda (Shekinah
House Captain - Boys): My name is Ola Fapohunda. Somehow I knew that
Preston will be the best school in Nigeria. I would like to say that being a
prefect in Preston is hard work, but it pays off.
Ese Evwerhamre
(Tornado House Captain - Girls): I am ESE Loveth Evwerhamre. I
have so many reasons for coming to Preston International School. Some of my
reasons are; to get a world class education, to be a shinning light to the
world, to be able to talk to the world with confidence, to be able to face
challenges in life and to be able to experience a good boarding house system.
I want to be an artist in future. Though it is a challenging job being a
prefect, I enjoy it because it helps me correct my mistakes and other people’s
mistakes, keeps me busy, gives me self-confidence and makes me to do the right
thing at the right time.
Victor Sodje
(Tornado House Captain - Boys): My name is Victor Sodje. I came to
Preston because I knew that the Proprietor had a vision and the vision will be
accomplished. I like being a leader. My future aspiration is to be a
motivational leader and I know that this is how to train one up for that.
Yomi Odediran (Terra
House Captain - Girls): My name is Yomi Odediran. The reason why I
came to Preston was because of the vision, mission and the morals of the
school. I wish to get the best form of education from the school, so that I
can bring Nigeria the much needed glory. On July 28th, I was appointed as the
House Captain of Terra House (Girls). That was like the happiest day of my
life, because that was my first day of being a school prefect. I see the
prefect job as challenging work, but it is a nice thing to do.
Anne Okeya (Health
Prefect): My name is Anne Okeya. What motivated me to come to Preston
International School was when I saw the vision of the school and the plan of
the school.
In my position as a prefect, I have faced so many challenges. My hope is to be
a great leader and to create good equipments for accounting.
Oluwaseun Alli (Shekinah
House Captain - Girls): My name is Alli Oluwaseun. I came to Preston
because I knew I will learn a lot of things and have good training. I pray
that when I leave Preston, the staff and students will say good things about
me. I think I am doing well as the House Captain of Shekinah House and I pray
God will help me in my work. I want to become a medical doctor in future so
that I can save the lives of people in this world.
Adebowale Adetoro
(Duty/Labour Prefect): My name is Adetoro Isaiah Adebowale. What motivated me
to come to Preston International School was that the vision of the school was
first too great for one to deal with and the proprietor’s writing and quotes,
either in the ephod or in his speeches touched me. I believe the school God
has given me must have a good mission and vision. My prefectship work
at Preston has been fun, hearing, learning and exercising the leadership
skills. I will love to commend the school for taking time to talk to us on the
leadership skills and I know they will help me be a great leader.
My hopes for the future are to use these leadership skills to direct my people
and the society well and effectively. My mission is to create an
orderly, happy, sound and attractive environment; making it clean, tidy and
conducive for learning
Chinyere Okocha
(Social Prefect): My name is Chinyere Okocha. When I read the vision and
mission of the school, I fell in love with the school. By the time I finish
from Preston, I will have achieved much because of the morals given to us at
Preston. I will love to be an accountant when I grow up. I find my work as a
prefect challenging but it is my duty to make sure that the school standard
stays high.
Samuel Ojo (President): My name is Samuel Oluwadamilola Ojo .I am
the President (Senior Prefect) of Preston International School. I came to
Preston International School because I was attracted to the mission and vision
of the school. I intend to do a lot as the President of the school. I intend to
make sure that the school environment will be as calm as possible. With the
leadership skills that I am learning at Preston, I believe I will be able to do
a lot of things in the future society. My mission is to ensure a happy and
peaceful environment for the students and the school community as a whole. I
will ensure that the school realizes its lofty vision and mission by cooperating
with the school authority in these areas.

they have already devoured leadership material such as the works of Daniel
Goleman on Leadership Styles and are very conversant with the intricate issues
of leadership. Their grasp of these issues is reflected in their firm,
fair and consistent approach in dealing with their mates and junior students.
Taking their cue from the over-arching principles of servant leadership
embraced by the school leadership, they have set for themselves very high
standards and without doubt will blossom into some of the finest leaders that
our country will have. No wonder they have the whole school on a leash!
