Design Technology has been introduced as a co-curricular activity under the auspices of the JETS Club (Junior Engineers, Technicians and Scientists Club). Here children learn a variety of skills such as the designing and making of simple products such as mechanical toys, electronic alarms, architectural models and the design and programming of robots.  It is envisaged that these skills will eventually lead to the production of commercially viable products at IGCSE/GCE levels and beyond.  It includes electronics and graphics in addition to such areas as engineering in wood, metal and plastics. It is an excellent introduction to many courses both in US and UK universities and an internationally valued skill by many employers.

Part of our vision is to help raise excellent product designers and engineers to secure Nigeria’s place in the global economy of industrialized nations. Prestonians who indicate their interest to pursue careers in the design and engineering industry will be given all the support necessary for them to succeed.
