Preston International School firmly believes in the total development of the child. It is the school's mission 'to raise fine, well-rounded, well-educated, well-cultured, respectable, God-fearing ladies and gentlemen' and we can only achieve that in an environment that is rich in activities outside the classroom. Activities that help children develop excellent social skills, good technical and 'hands-on' skills as well as a strong sense of community is best achieved through co-curricular activities which go 'beyond academics'.
There are 13 clubs in the school and all students are required to belong to at least two clubs - one academic club and one community service club. Sports and music are compulsory after-school activities for all Prestonians. However, parents who would like their children to receive expert professional tuition on musical instruments have to enrol their children in the school's music academy - Salem Academy of Music - for an additional charge.
