Healing Balm Magazine
Preston International School's own exclusive school magazine was launched on the 28th of July, 2007 as part of the end of year activities.   The foreword/welcome message on the first page of the magazine by the proprietor Mr. Toyin Ajayi encapsulates the objectives of the magazine:

"First, may I extend a very warm welcome to you. You are welcome to the very first edition of the Healing Balm - Preston International School's own exclusive magazine which will be published at the end of every term.

If you are absolutely new to the Preston philosophy, then you might find the school a sort of oasis - giving hope to this generation and the future generations of our great country. At Preston, our mission is to provide cost-effective world class education and to raise fine, well-rounded, well-educated, well-cultured, respectable, God-fearing ladies and gentlemen who will make huge contributions towards the promotion and protection of human dignity in our society.

The Healing Balm is published for the enjoyment of all who care about the development of young people in our nation and very much unlike the traditional school magazine, the Healing Balm is, just as the name suggests - an antidote for societal ills, a soothing relief for the distraught and the disillusioned and a powerful potion for agents of change and their supporters in our country.

While the healing balm does feature news about Preston, it also reflects our wider agenda for social change by featuring lots of articles contributed by our students, teachers, parents and the friends of Preston.

The Healing Balm is also packed with fantastic educational resources for students. We have also thrown in a bit of those wonderful historical accounts that all Africans can be proud of. Lots of things have been said by our heroes of yesteryears that we need to bring back to our memories. We hope you will find a lot of the articles in this maiden issue inspiring and motivating such that you will pass it on. Also, if you will like to subscribe to future editions, you may fill in the tear-off slip on the last page and send it back to us so that we will always reserve a copy for you. Happy reading!"
